Retail movie DVDs purchased from a store will have some sort of content protection scheme. The xLobby cube IS NOT capable of playing or importing protected DVDs. We have decided to avoid the possible legal implications by NOT shipping any decryption software. Due to the different laws in various countries we cannot ship or sell machines with the DVD decryption software necessary to import these types of DVDs. It is up to the end user to check with his/her local laws before purchasing the 3rd party decryption software (such as DVDFab) required to import encrypted DVDs.

If it is legal in your country of residence to import your DVDs onto other playback devices such as the xLobby cube (again check your local laws), we recommend using the 3rd party decryption software called "DVDFab". DVDFab has been available online for over 7 years now, and is constantly being updated.

Finally just to be clear, we cannot and do not provide decryption tools. We also DO NOT condone the use of such tools in countries where this activity is against the law. Please respect and follow your local laws.
